The objective is to achieve a fully functional email system and high performance using a full range of modern technologies and protocols to improve its efficiency, robustness, flexibility and security. Furthermore, it provides many facilities for use by users of this system.
At the end manage to have a mail system with the following characteristics:
- Independence of system users and email accounts.
- A primary domain where you create email accounts.
- Multiple virtual domains with redirects to the main domain accounts.
- Authentication over SSL.
- Access to mailboxes for POP3, IMAP and web browser (webmail) over SSL.
- Antiviral and antispam filters.
- Mailing Lists
The implementation will be through a free software based on Debian GNU Linux operating system with the following software:
- Apache.
- SimScan with qmail.
- MySQL with phpMyAdmin.
- PHP.
- Horde kronolith with, IMP, Turba and Ingo.
- Mailman.
- SpamAssassin.
- ClamAV
* The Debian operating system and software Apache, qmail, Simscan, MySql, phpMyAdmin, PHP, Horde, kronolith, IMP, Turba, Ingo, Mailman spamassasin and ClamAV are free and therefore free.
